ERLC passes motion regarding the GCR Task force
- Sep 16, 2009
The trustees of the ERLC voted to pass a motion regarding the Great Commission Resurgence Task Force during their annual meeting this week. The text is as follows:
Motion: The trustees of The Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission join with the ERLC staff in praying for the work of the Great Commission Resurgence Task Force. We acknowledge our deep dependency on God and pray that He will guide every discussion and every decision in such a way that He alone will receive glory.
We believe strongly in the ministry assignment given to the ERLC by the Convention. We are deeply committed especially to the protection of religious freedom in the United States and around the world and pray God will continue to use the influence of the ERLC and Dr. Land to help open doors that have been closed to the Gospel and keep doors open among people that have been historically free.
We offer ourselves as prayer warriors for the Task Force as critically important issues are addressed. We also offer our support if in any way we or the ERLC staff can be of assistance regarding the task at hand.
