“Never in my life…”
- Jan 7, 2009 - 3
I was greatly moved by this ESPN account of perhaps one of the most important games these Texas high school football players will ever play. I imagine that lessons were learned and lives were changed—both on the field and in the stands.
I cannot think of a better example of being “salt” and “light” than the actions of the parents, students, players and coach of Faith Christian School in Grapevine, Texas. The story was particularly meaningful to me because I have the privilege of knowing the coach and some of the players and students through their participation in Student Leadership University 201
in Washington, D.C., over the last several years.
Faith Christian School practices what it preaches, and I am really proud of them.

Shades of “Facing the Giants!” Thank you so much for a reality story better than even the Christian film! This will be broadcast across our church.

The ethics of stories like this embrace the founding fathers belief that the Kingdom of God is Americans living the anno Domini.
Is that what freedom brings or does the devil rule?
Read Revelation chapter 1 verse 5 and smile because He lives.
