Outcry Stops Dangerous Thought Crimes Bill!

Thanks to your calls and emails, hate crimes legislation has been stripped from the Defense Authorization bill!

Due to widespread concern that the Defense bill would lose considerable support if it included hate crimes protections for homosexuals, a conference committee of House and Senate members decided yesterday to pull the language, preserving freedom of religious speech and thought.

This is a tremendous victory for all who cherish religious freedom and equal justice under the law. And this victory can be largely credited to your action.

I’m grateful for your efforts to help make a difference.
