Perform Your Christian and Civic Duty Nov. 7 by Voting Your Values

By Richard Land - Nov 6, 2006 - comment

Elections make a difference! Whoever wins on Nov. 7, it will have tremendous consequences on the nation and the nation’s families. A whole host of issues will be impacted, such as the sanctity of human life, the Marriage Protection Amendment, traditional marriage issues, federal court nominees, the federal tax burden on families, and national security issues, such as the Patriot Act.

As American citizens, we have the right to be involved in the public and legislative arena. And as obedient Christians, we have the responsibility to be involved. Millions of people around the world long for the opportunity to elect their leaders, yet, sadly, too many Americans, including Christians, fail to exercise this privilege in our country. Considering the consequences of our absence from the voting booth, we cannot afford to remain on the sidelines.

This Tuesday, please join me in fulfilling our Christian and civic duty. I urge you to find out where candidates in your state and congressional district stand on the issues and then vote for those who best represent your values, your beliefs, and your convictions. You can learn more about the candidates, polling locations, and the importance of voting by visiting iVoteValues.com.

May God bless you as you vote, and may God bless America with leaders who will honor Him with their votes.
