Miers withdraws nomination to Supreme Court
WASHINGTON (BP)—Embattled nominee Harriet Miers withdrew Oct. 27 as President Bush’s selection for associate justice of the Supreme Court.
Bush said in a written statement he “reluctantly accepted” Miers’ decision and would submit a new nominee in “a timely manner.” more »
