Sir

You may be aware that very many committed Christians in the UK are deeply disturbed by the decisions made in our parliament on each of the four matters subject to a vote. We would therefore be greatly in sympathy with the views of our American Baptist cousins, since many of us hold most dearly to the inherent dignity of every human life from the moment of conception.

You may therefore i hope understand my bewilderment and shock that in seeking to address this issue and inform your readers for prayer you have chosen to highlight some deeply inappropriate comments by C Ben Mitchell which are clearly intended to show the innate inferiority of Great Britain, her people and her culture.
Beyond the trite and puerile nature of the comment, lies an ugly shadow of xenophobia and racism.

I would therefore be grateful if you could amend your coverage of the story to ensure that the only offence is that of the gospel itself.
