In Matthew 12:36, Jesus says, “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.”
When Christians accommodate tradition and not the word of God, it spells national trouble. Jesus says we are held to account for every word we set forth; idle signifies acts by habit or tradition without consideration to the word of God. Our every act is tantamount to speaking a position. When we go to a Hollywood film, we tell that producer we approve of his film even though the film degrades the tenets of God; when we buy a product, we tell the manufacturer we like his product and when we cast a vote we tell that political party that we support of their party platform. It has been estimated that a large number of our American Christians support abortion, homosexuality, removing God from every public place or gathering and, by appointment, the liberalizing of the Constitution God gave us through our founding fathers by their vote.
