We need a representative like Ms Kern in every state of the union speaking out against the immoral issues --homosexuality, abortion, underage drinking, and stiffer penalties for drug users. Oh yes, child pornography must be eradicated--do whatever it takes. We need supreme court judges who have moral fiber. And, we as Christians must speak out.

Dear Mr. or Ms. Whetzel,

What does being gay have to do with any of the other issues you mention? Nothing.

And beyond that...being gay is perfectly moral and proper.
It’s natural human sexuality.

What we do not need is for some “Christian” people to treat gay people as if we are immoral, broken, sinful, dreadful, diseased, less than, demonic, depraved, deviant, or anything other than fully equal citizens of this secularly governed nation.

Dan Valdes says, “being gay is perfectly moral and proper.”

Sorry Dan, but Bible-believing Christians do not agree with you. Your statement is 100% wrong. But thanks for providing a great example of what was stated in the article: “These folks want to redefine marriage, morality and acceptable sexuality.”

Dear Katie,

I don’t let you or the SBC define who or what I am nor my morality.

It’s a secular country and not a theocracy. We don’t adjudicate from the pulpit here like they do in Iran.

Thank you Katie. Dan, Christians recognize that all people are immoral, broken, sinful, dreadful, diseased, depraved, deviant creatures in need of Jesus forgiveness and cleansing. Living the homosexual lifestyle is simply a specific example of depravity and deviant behaviour. It is one more sin that any God fearing individual of understanding will turn from to be acceptable to a holy God. It has no bearing on whether or not you are a citizen. Promoting deviant behaviour as though it were normal, however, will damage our society in innumerable ways. (indeed, it has done so to a great extent already) God bless and keep you.

God loves the sinner, not the sin. It would be good to understand the love God has for each person. It is His world and His heaven. He is willing to forgive any and all who will come to Him, ask forgiveness for things we have done against His law and accept His Son as the sacrifice for those sins. We will continue to pray for all who need to accept Christ as their Savior.
Thank you, Sally and Richard for your work.
