A very balanced piece, thank you. Why is it that so many people see same sex attraction as a worse sin than others? We are charged with being the body of Christ to everyone. We should pray that God adjusts our attitudes.

I have always agreed with Dobson: “They werent born that way but they didnt choose to be that way either.”
We seldom hear any of the more extreme San Fran Pride Week homosexuals acknowledge the alleged childhood molestation or other issues which might have altered their attraction.

Surely just as there are known teratogens which can alter the normal developmt of a baby there have to be “psychiatric teratogens” which if present at a crucial period in the youngsters emotional developmt might create the homosexual attraction.
Few psychologists are willing to research such an issue for fear of mob protests. Fewer theologians or seminary profs seem adequately trained in such a delicate, difficult realm of human development theory.

I am so thankful for the work you do. YES, churches need to be educated about this topic. YES, strugglers are sitting in pews in EVERY church in America paralyzed by the fear of rejection. Thank you for bringing this to light. People are hurting, not all same sex attraction (SSA) is wanted. Strugglers do cry out to the Father wanting healing, wanting to be truely satisfied…

Bob, I am praying for you and the work you are doing… it is vitally important.

While I agree that temptation sometimes blindsides us, I also believe that we “choose” to put ourselves in certain situations or places where we know those temptations are going to be present. Because of our rebellious sin nature or a self-righteous belief that we are strong enough to withstand the temptation, do we many times succumb to them. Playing with fire comes to mind. I too was abused as a child, but that’s not my excuse. I have none! We’re all wretched. Sin is sin, no matter what color you paint it. God does’nt differentiate. To break those bonds of slavery and defeat the enemy, one needs the Saving Power of Jesus’ Blood. Only He has the power to set the captive free from the bondage of sins. Only through God’s Love, Grace and Mercy do we find His Peace that passes all understanding. If the Holy Spirit is convicting you, best be getting right with Him today! Thank you, Jesus for rescuing me, everytime.
