J. RES. 43, dubbed the Marriage Protection Amendment.

If ratified, the bill would amend the United States Constitution to state that marriage “shall consist only of the union of a man and a woman.” so on that front I would assuredly agree with Mr. Perkins that heterosexuals might want to get their own marriages in order first as they are not setting the gold standard of marriage at this stage.

]]> Wed, 02 Jul 2008 14:48:45 CST Comment 2 http://erlc.com/article/the-face-of-marriage-in-america#comment2 http://erlc.com/article/the-face-of-marriage-in-america#comment2 Your comment on marriages with multiple partners, simultaneous partners, children, and even animals is spot on.  In Leviticus 18:22, the word tells us that a homosexual act is an abomination, and in verse 23, relations with animals are a perversion.  Two chapters later (Lev. 20:13,15-16) it tells us that all parties in either situation are to be put to death.  Instead, in America they are protected and even exalted as tolerant and enlightened. It is a grave reality that our nation is headed toward a total reversal of marriage where the sacred is disdained and the once unthinkable is applauded.  Once the wall of the sanctity of marriage is breached, any and all violaters will be welcomed with open arms and the watchmen and soldiers on the wall who fight for the protection of marriage will be seen as archaic and doltish.
