Sex Ring Broken Up, Officials Say

Law enforcement officials announced the arrest of 31 people who were involved in running an international prostitution ring that operated at least 19 brothels in the Northeast.Officials said they also took 67 young Korean women into protective custody, all of whom they believe were brought to the United States illegally and forced to work as prostitutes, victims of human trafficking.

A consensus developed for sharing the fruit of their collaboration more widely.

“Embryonic stem cells (ESCs) receive tremendous media attention, with oft-repeated claims they have the potential to cure virtually every disease known. Yet there are spoilsports, myself included, who point out ESCs have yet to even make it into a human clinical trial. This is even as alternatives — adult stem cells (ASCs) from numerous places in the body as well as umbilical cord blood and placenta — are curing diseases here and now and have been doing so for decades. And that makes ESC advocates very, very angry.”

Homosexual paper: Democrats to combat marriage amendments with ‘5-point plan’

WASHINGTON (BP)—The Washington Blade, a homosexual newspaper, reported July 14 that the Democratic National Committee has devised “a five-point plan” to combat ballot initiatives to protect traditional marriage in state constitutions, although a DNC spokesman quoted by the Blade would neither confirm nor deny the report to Baptist Press.
