Join the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, July 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for Humanity Denied: Religious Freedom in North Korea.
This event is being hosted in conjunction with the Department of State’s Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom.
The event will premiere a short, 10 minute film produced by the ERLC featuring North Korean defectors and church leaders and activists in South Korea.
In addition to highlighting the grave human rights violations carried out by the Kim regime, the documentary tells the story of an enduring faith and hope in the midst of suffering. The film screening will be followed by an interview with a North Korean defector as well as a panel discussion featuring an activist, a former U.S. prisoner in North Korea, and several experts from the religious freedom policy space.
This event will take place in Room G11 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building. Refreshments will be provided. This event is open to the public.
