What is Stand for Life, and who funded that work?

In 2018, conversations began among ERLC staff and others about the need for the national pro-life movement to coordinate efforts. From those conversations, the Life Collective (also known as Stand for Life) was born with the backing of pro-life donors. The Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission provided leadership, as well as logistical support, for the collection of pro-life groups in the early years. The Stand for Life ministry was very successful and resulted in over $5.2 million given for that purpose over the next five years. No Cooperative Program funds were used for the work of Stand for Life, except for limited logistical support and to co-sponsor an event in January 2023.  Stand for Life launched as a separate organization in early 2023, and the remaining fund balance was returned to the donors.
