NASHVILLE, Tenn., April 20, 2015The Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Conventions communication team won first place in the public relations for special events category at the 2015 Wilmer C. Fields Awards Competition.
This competition is designed to encourage professional excellence among Baptist Communicators Association members and to recognize those members who have done exemplary work. Each year the awards are presented at the annual BCA workshop. The competition is named in honor of BCA lifetime member and retired vice president of public relations for the SBCs Executive Committee, Wilmer C. Fields.
We are honored to be recognized by our peers in receiving this award, said Daniel Darling, ERLCs vice president for communications. Our communications teams is made up of godly, servant-hearted, gifted men and women who come to work each day energized to share the good news of the gospel of the Kingdom with the world.
The ERLC communications team was awarded first place for their 2014 National Conference PR campaign.

The Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission is the SBCs ethics, religious liberty and public policy agency with offices in Nashville, Tenn., and Washington, D.C.
