ERLC president Russell Moore launches new YouTube channel to address pressing issues

NASHVILLE, Tenn., May 7, 2019—Russell Moore, president of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, is debuting today a YouTube Channel, featuring short videos addressing pressing cultural topics.

Through this new outlet, Moore will launch two new series. The first series, “On the Issues,” launches today. In it, Moore will offer weekly analysis of important social, ethical, theological and political issues in a concise and easily shareable short video format. New installments will be available on Tuesdays. The second series, “One Thing You Missed,” will feature Moore offering thoughtful commentary on a significant but overlooked item from the news that week. New installments of this series will begin later this month and will be made available on Fridays.

The YouTube channel will be a resource for Christians seeking to understand cultural topics through a biblical lens, as well as a platform for non-Christians and religious skeptics to engage a Christian perspective. Moore, an ethicist, theologian, award-winning writer and head of the moral and public policy agency of the SBC, is a regular commentator on a wide range of issues. The Wall Street Journal has called Moore “vigorous, cheerful and fiercely articulate.” He was named in 2017 to Politico Magazine’s list of top 50 influence-makers in Washington, and has been profiled by such publications as The Washington Post and The New Yorker.
