NASHVILLE, Tenn., June 2, 2020—Russell Moore, president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, will give a ministry update during today’s SBC Advance, a special online event.
During his pre-recorded SBC Advance report, Moore plans to highlight the ERLC’s work over the last year in areas related to religious liberty, church sexual abuse, pro-life initiatives and the coronavirus pandemic.
The 2020 SBC Annual Meeting was scheduled to be held in Orlando, Fla. June 9-10, but the COVID-19 global pandemic forced Southern Baptist leaders to cancel the event for the first time since World War II.
The SBC Advance is not intended to be a substitute for the annual SBC meeting, but rather an opportunity for Southern Baptists to hear important updates from all SBC entity and auxiliary heads, as well as SBC President J.D. Greear. SBC Advance will be hosted by the SBC’s Executive Committee.
The event will be livestreamed at SBCadvance.com today starting at 3 p.m. EDT. For more information, visit sbc.net/advance.
