Dr. Richard Land, president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, will lead a recreational tour of America’s rich Christian heritage this fall. Participants will make a 10-day trek along the East Coast by motorcoach from Boston to D.C., visiting many fascinating historical sites along the way.
After arriving in Boston Oct. 9, the “America’s Heritage Tour” will begin, as did our nation, with stops at Plymouth Rock and a Mayflower replica. The group will travel next to tour Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia.
Other stops include the battle grounds of Valley Forge, Fort McHenry and Gettysburg. Lexington and Concord, Mass., and Williamsburg, Va., will also be visited. The trip will conclude with three days in Washington, D.C., where the group will visit Mt. Vernon, the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials, Arlington National Cemetery, and many more of our nation’s greatest sights.
“I hope you will join us for what I believe will be a wonderful time of inspiration and fellowship as we explore God’s providential hand on our nation through the centuries,” said Land.
