SBC’s Richard Land to participate in Family Impact Summit with top pro-family speakers

NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Dr. Richard Land, president of The Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, will be featured as one of the key leaders in the pro-family movement at the Family Impact Summit Sept. 20–22, 2007, in Tampa Bay, Fla.

Other conference speakers include Tony Perkins, Gary Bauer, Katherine Harris, Ken Blackwell, Don Wildmon, Dr. Nancy Heche, Bishop Harry Jackson, Bob Knight, Alan Chambers, Leslee Unruh and Dr. William Owens.

Organizers hope the Family Impact Summit will inform attendees about family values issues and encourage and equip them to become involved in pro-family efforts in their own communities. Topics will include religious freedom, life issues, racial reconciliation, Christian citizenship, education, and homosexuality.

The Community Issues Council, Family Research Council, Florida Family Policy Council and Salem Communications Tampa are the sponsors of the Summit. Activities will be held at Bells Shoals Baptist Church in Brandon, Fla., and will include debates, workshops, question and answer sessions, and panel discussions.

In addition, the Family Research Council will host a pre-Summit Regional Pastors’ Briefing Sept. 20 at the same location.
