Rachel White

Rachel White is a licensed counselor, an advocate for human trafficking survivors, and founder of Her Song Jacksonville. Rachel has led her team to address a great need in the NE Florida area: a safe healing home where trafficked women can find refuge and build a new life.

Rachel grew up in Texas, attended Baylor University receiving her BA in Psychology in 1990. After raising children, she went back to school and graduated with a MA in professional counseling with High Distinction from Liberty University in 2012. She received training in Pain Psychology from the Mayo Clinic Jacksonville in 2011-2012 and is an alumnus of the Mayo School of Health Sciences. Rachel has completed numerous hours of training in human trafficking, sexual abuse, and trauma. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. She received the FBI Director’s 2016 Community Leadership Award from Director James Comey at FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C. for her work in human trafficking in Florida. Rachel has led Her Song to impact the Northeast Florida region with awareness and built strong alliances with the FBI, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and the State Attorney’s office to ensure victims have an opportunity to heal from the crimes committed against them.

Rachel’s vision of a city where every woman is free to live out her God-given purpose is being fulfilled as her team opened Freedom Cottage in October 2017, the first safe home for human trafficking survivors in the Northeast Florida area. While this is a great step, there is much more work to do in Florida, so she is leading Her Song to look to the future to build a safe home on 10-12 acres where provide life-saving care will be provided. Rachel is a mom of four young adult children who love Jesus and has been married to Dr. Paul White for 26 years. They reside happily in Jacksonville, Fla.
