Bryant Millsaps @BryantMillsaps Bryant Millsaps is the former Tennessee secretary of state and director of the state’s Higher Education Commission and former president/treasurer of Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes. Millsaps, in other Tennessee government posts, has served in the House of Representatives as chief clerk, assistant chief clerk and assistant to the speaker. Millsaps holds a doctor of education degree in higher education administration from Vanderbilt University’s George Peabody College in Nashville. He also holds a bachelor of science degree in political science and a master of education in secondary school administration and supervision from Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro, where he formerly served as director of alumni and government relations.
