John Hume

John Hume has served as an Associate Pastor at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church for over 21 years. John grew up on a farm outside Louisville, Ky., and is a 1991 graduate of the University of Louisville with a degree in Music Education. After college John attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. While in seminary he had the privilege to serve on staff as an intern and associate minister at First Baptist Church, Arlington, Texas. In 1995 John graduated with a Master of Arts in Religious Education degree. The day after graduation he married Paige and 6 weeks later moved to Jacksonville, Ill., where he began ministry at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church. John has served in this position for over 21 years. John and Paige have 2 boys.
