New IMB president David Platt discusses religious persecution

The International Mission Board announced the election of David Platt as it's new president today. The ERLC is excited about this news and we look forward to all God will do to advance his Kingdom through Platt's leadership.

His heart for the nations to worship and enjoy Christ is evident in an interview he did with Dan Darling, vice president of the ERLC.

“We’ve got brothers and sisters in Christ that are suffering and don’t have religious liberty on a number of different levels. When one part of the body suffers, we suffer," Platt said. "We need to know their stories and come alongside them when we can, and have them know that we are praying for them if that’s at all possible.”
