A Letter to Support a Two-year Universal Charitable Deduction to Encourage Giving to Charities

ERLC joined a coalition of nonprofits and charitable organizations to send a letter of support to the leadership of the Senate Committee on Finance and the House Committee on Ways and Means.

On March 17, 2022, the ERLC joined a coalition of nonprofits and charitable organizations to send a letter of support to the leadership of the Senate Committee on Finance and the House Committee on Ways and Means. In this letter, the ERLC called for an “expanded and extended Universal Charitable Deduction” as quickly as possible.

The ERLC is continuing to advocate for a two-year Universal Charitable Deduction ahead of Fiscal Year 2025 tax negotiations and to seek ways to further bolster the vital work being done by churches and faith-based organizations.
