Cindy Asmussen
Cindy Asmussen is the Ethics & Religious Liberty Advisor for the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention and sits on the Texas Ethics and Religious Liberty Committee. She works with governmental leaders, conservative coalitions to build unity and strategy in public policy, and educates groups and churches on cultural and legislative issues. She has also worked for over a decade with Concerned Women for America of Texas serving as Legislative Director, Central Texas Area Director and Prayer/Action Leader. During the 2017 Texas legislative session, Cindy and two other Texas Grassroots leaders formed the "Mom Caucus" to bring the voice of moms who hold to traditional, Biblical values to the state Capitol. One of her most treasured roles is wife to her wonderful husband of 29 years, and a mother and grandmother. She has a 7 year old daughter, two grown sons, daughter-in-law, baby grandson, and adopted Chinese son whom she first met as an international college student. She has also fostered and adopted through the state foster care system, and now speaks and meets with state leaders to bring about reform.
