Deron Spoo

Deron Spoo is the lead pastor of First Baptist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Since he became pastor in 2000, Deron has helped First Tulsa transition from simply being a downtown church to becoming a regional church committed to urban ministry. He is the author of “The Good Book: 40 Chapters That Reveal the Bible’s Biggest Ideas” which unlocks the major themes of Scripture to reveal God’s heart and mind, making the Bible uniquely personal. Deron is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and is a native Texan. He and his wife Paula have three children.
