Evangelical Immigration Table
In June 2012, several national entities representing evangelical Christians, including the ERLC, formed the Evangelical Immigration Table (EIT) to encourage a national discussion about immigration rooted in biblical principles. The EIT began by releasing a statement of principles with signatures from 150 prominent evangelical leaders and has since been affirmed by more than 8,000 people. Among the many resources produced by the EIT commissioned a 40-minute documentary film, “THE STRANGER” and most recently published an ebook with accompanying series of videos titled, Thinking Biblically about Immigrants and Immigration Reform. The EIT engages the public debate with letters to policy makers in Washington and advocacy on Capitol Hill.
