JR Vassar

JR Vassar is the Lead Pastor at Church at the Cross in Grapevine, TX. JR has a passion to help the local church grow in maturity and advance in its mission to help people and places experience renewal in Jesus. From 2005 – 2013 he served as founding and lead pastor of Apostles Church in New York City. At the end of 2013 he returned home to the Dallas/Fort Worth area to serve as the Lead Pastor of Church at the Cross. He is a graduate of Dallas Baptist University and holds a Th.M. from Dallas Seminary. He and his wife Ginger live with their three children in Grapevine, TX. He is the author of Glory Hunger: God, the Gospel and our Quest for Something More (Crossway, 2015).
