Kelly Rosati

Kelly Rosati is the vice president of Community Outreach at Focus on the Family where she serves as the ministry spokesperson on child advocacy issues. Rosati oversees the Adoption and Orphan Care Initiative, the Sanctity of Human Life department, Option Ultrasound, and Community Care efforts.

Prior to joining Focus, Rosati served for 10 years as the executive director of Hawaii Family Forum where she advocated for Hawaii's children and families in the legislature and media. In 2001, she was named by the Honolulu Star Bulletin as one of the "10 Who Made a Difference" in the state for her pivotal role in raising the state's lowest in the nation age of sexual consent from 14 years old to 16. She was appointed by Hawaii's governor to serve on several child and family-related state level task forces.

In her role as a child advocate, she explored barriers to adoption and how to change them.  She began to realize that she had the opportunity to do more than simply advocate for children in foster care, so she and her husband, John, adopted four children – two boys and two girls – through the foster care system.

While Rosati is thankful to be able to provide a forever family to her four kids, she knows there are still more than 100,000 children in the foster care system awaiting adoption. That's why her team's mission at Focus on the Family is to raise awareness of and recruit adoptive families for waiting children and youth in foster care. To date, more than 3,000 families have initiated the process of adoption from foster care through the nationally recognized Wait No More program, and Rosati has testified before Congress about the program's effectiveness.

Rosati is a frequent public speaker on the topics of sanctity of human life and adoption and orphan care. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the national "March for Life" and has been featured in various media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, The Denver Post, New York Daily News, Christianity Today, The Honolulu Star Bulletin, and numerous radio stations throughout the country.

Rosati received her undergraduate degree from Marquette University and graduated cum laude from the University of Nebraska College of Law. Rosati and her husband have been married since 1991 and live with their four children in Monument, Colo.
