Kristen Kansiewicz is an assistant professor and Program Director of the graduate counseling program at Evangel University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Regent University, a Master of Arts in Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wheaton College (IL). She served in urban ministry with her husband, Joshua, for 20 years and has developed the Church Therapy model to integrate clinical mental health counseling into church settings. She currently focuses her research on clergy well-being and is passionate about mental health and the church. She and Joshua enjoy kayaking and paddleboarding their two teenagers.
