Naghmeh Abedini

Naghmeh Abedini is a U.S. Citizen who was born in Tehran, Iran and moved to the United States with her family when she was nine. Naghmeh’s husband, Pastor Saeed Abedini, is currently serving an eight-year sentence in the Rajai Shahr Prison on account of his Christian faith. Growing up in Boise, Idaho, Naghmeh is a committed Christian and has been actively involved with her church congregation for many years. In 2002, on a visit to Tehran, Naghmeh met Saeed and they were married in 2004. Naghmeh has now been apart from her husband for almost three years as he remains imprisoned in Iran for exercising his Christian faith. Saeed and Naghmeh have two young children, eight-year-old Rebekka and seven- year-old Jacob. Naghmeh Abedini, wife of a Christian pastor Saeed Abedini, who was arrested in Iran for spreading the gospel.
