The ERLC and Colorado Baptists sent a letter to Colorado’s Gov. Polis urging him to veto the radical gender ideology bill, HB 25-1312, or the “Kelly Loving Act.”
The “Kelly Loving Act” would make using a person’s name given at birth and using a person’s biologically correct pronouns discriminatory actions under the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act. It also requires dress-coded public schools to allow children of either biological sex to choose between following the boys or girls dress code without their parent’s consent or guidance.
The letter states, “Should this bill become law, it would threaten the conscience rights of individuals, drive a wedge between parents and children, and endanger basic free speech rights for all. Such a piece of legislation will inevitably lead to conflict between church and state and result in disastrous consequences.”
Recently, the ERLC and Colorado Baptists also partnered to create a bulletin insert for churches as the bill was considered by the state legislature. Join us in praying for a veto of the “Kelly Loving Act”, for wisdom for elected officials in Colorado, for them to embrace the truth of biological realities, and for a state that celebrates God’s good design for gender and sexuality.
