Chad Austin

Chad serves as the Managing Editor with the Biblical Recorder. He helps write and share news and information about the convention’s ministry and missions efforts. He also serves as the convention’s primary contact for the news media.
Prior to joining the Baptist state convention in November 2014, Chad served in a variety of communications roles in business, higher education, online news, college athletics and daily newspapers. Chad received his bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a master of arts in ministry leadership from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest. Chad and his wife, Koren, have one daughter.
