Understanding the pro-abortion constitutional amendment on your ballot

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them” (Gen. 1:27)

Life is on the ballot in Colorado in the form of a pro-abortion ballot initiative called the “Colorado Right to Reproductive Freedom Constitutional Amendment.” If passed, It would ensure that Colorado remains one of the most pro-abortion states in the nation.

A “no” vote prevents abortion from being enshrined into the constitution as a fundamental right. Colorado currently allows abortion through all stages of pregnancy.

A “yes” vote supports amending the Colorado Constitution to enshrine a “right to abortion.” Additionally, if passed, this amendment would expand access to abortion by allowing health insurance plans, including government-funded plans, to cover abortions and would make it more challenging to pass and implement future pro-life laws.

Election Day is ⁦Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024⁩.
