Understanding the Pro-Abortion Constitutional Amendment on Your Ballot

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them” (Gen. 1:27)

Montana is currently facing a significant threat to human dignity in the form of a ballot initiative titled “Constitutional Initiative 128” or “(CI-128”). If passed, this would amend the state’s constitution to enshrine the right to abortion in Montana.

A “no” vote would mean pro-life laws remain on the books, restricting abortion.

A “yes” vote would adopt the amendment and prevent the state legislature from enacting any new laws to protect the preborn prior to viability. Currently, abortion in Montana is legal until “fetal viability.” If this amendment passes, it will overturn all existing regulations on abortion and will likely weaken the conscience rights of healthcare workers and institutions who do not want to participate in abortions.

  • Election Day is ⁦Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024⁩.
