Understanding the Pro-Abortion Constitutional Amendment on Your Ballot

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them” (Gen. 1:27)

In the upcoming election, Nebraska voters are being asked to decide between competing  pro-abortion and pro-life constitutional amendments.

A”no” vote for the “Nebraska Protect the Right to Abortion Amendment” would continue to limit abortion. This pro-abortion initiative would establish a right to abortion until “fetal viability.” Nebraska currently restricts abortion to 12 weeks’ gestational age.

A “yes” vote for the “Nebraska Protect Women and Children Amendment” would protect the preborn from second and third trimester abortions. This pro-life measure would amend Article I of the Nebraska Constitution to add these new provisions” except in cases of medical emergencies or pregnancies resulting from sexual assault or incest.

Election Day is ⁦Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024⁩.
