The ERLC is closely watching three cases awaiting decisions from the U.S. Supreme Court in which vulnerable individuals, particularly women and children, are at risk.
Southern Baptists understand that the government has a God-ordained responsibility to protect lives from harm, and that the sanctity of all life, regardless of age, ability, or any other feature, should be upheld and guide decision-making from the state.
This includes the life of a defenseless preborn child in the womb, an expectant mother in an ER in need of care, or a family seeking protection from a dangerous person.
As each case is decided, the ERLC will produce resources for Southern Baptists to help them understand the rulings and navigate these important issues moving forward.
